Montiferru Award 2018


2018 marked the 25th edition of the contest, which has been active in awarding the best olive oils on both the national and international scene since 1994.


The competition has fostered a large number of small producers, helping them to grow over the years. The awards were assigned to different categories, including Organic, PDO/PGI,  multicultivar and monocultivar, drawing a distinction between olive-growing producers and non-farming oil pressers. A special acknowledgement, the Hermanu award, was bestowed on the oils with the highest content of anti-oxidants. Additionally, a special prize was awarded to the best packaging.
