Japanese Chef Yasuhiro Fujio Wins San Pellegrino Young Chef 2018
The sous chef of Osaka’s La Cime is the winner of the San Pellegrino Young Chef 2018 contest, accompanied by his mentor Luca Fantin, chef at Bulgari Ginza Tower, the only Italian restaurant in Tokyo to have been awarded a Michelin star.
Yasuhiro Fujio, sous chef at Osaka’s La Cime, is the winner of the 2018 edition of San Pellegrino Young Chef, the international contest selecting and awarding the most talented young chefs in the world scene. On 13th May in Milan, Fujio won the favour of the jury, receiving not only the San Pellegrino Young Chef Award, but also the Acqua Panna - Taste of Authenticity Award, a special prize bestowed by the 21 mentors on the chef who best represented their national identity. Yasuhiro will now embark on an exciting journey with San Pellegrino to support him and help him develop his culinary expertise.
